Default making your own printed ribbon and copyright question

I live in the st. louis area and want to make some STL cardinals bow. I found some logos on line. Can i just print the logos on some t-shirt transfer paper and put that on my ribbon? Has anyone tried this? Is it somewhat easy? Any tips on how to do this will be appreciated. I thought I might even make some custom ribbon with names on them as well.

Also, if I make and sell these am I going to get in trouble? I have a craft fair coming up at a very popular public place and I don't want some Cardinals offical to bust me!

It's not worth it to me at all to sell something risky. However I will make them for my girls and friends

I was also going to add some hot fix crystals to some STL cardinal logo hats to sell as well. Again, is this risky?

It is copyright infringement when you take someones logo, you don't even have to sell it. i wouldnt mess with the sports images, they don't play.

Agreed, I wouldn't do official logos but maybe type out Saint Louis or Cardinals (OR, I wouldn't do them together) and just do the text on the ribbon... if you are making layered bows you could do a big baseball as the center, or use baseball ribbon so people totally get the idea with the colors and the theme but its not "officially" something Cardinals~

For sports teams I just usually do the colors, I know in the college town where my folks live, one guy in town bought the rights for the logo and it was 10K, they do go after other places that use it and the fines are HUGE.....

Acutally all logos even for lower schools and colleges are also copyrighted (even highschools)

No, it is illegal. I typically just use the colors of the teams.
