Default Question about adding clips to flowers...

I bought some silk flowers and I want to make clippies out of them, but I have a few questions... I cut off the stems, but do you also remove the green part the flower sits on? Before adding the clip do you cover the back/bottom of the flower with something like ribbon or fabric? Hopefully this doesn't sound too confusing and somebody can help me.

Thanks!

Yes. You will remove the stem and the green plastic piece that that flower sits on. Since your flowers will then come apart layer by layer you can use a glue gun to glue the layers together or sew the petals together and glue the flower center back on. I don't cover the back with anything else...I just add it to a lined alligator clip. Hope this makes sense!

So I don't put the green plastic piece back on the bottom?

How come my flowers seem to be flatter looking without the green bottom piece?

Sometimes it takes more than one flower to remake a flower. I will use some of the smaller pieces and hide them under the bigger ones to give it more "lift", so it is not as flat. It also just depends on the flower you are working with.
