i am trying to glue a ribbon flower to flip flops. i put a foam back on the back of the flower to glue to the flip flop. i roughed up the flip flop, put a fair amount of e6000 on foam and flip flop and 10 mins later i could still pull them apart. am i doing something wrong. does it take a lot longer than this! help!!!

It takes a while for E6000 to dry. I usually put it on both sides I am gluing let it sit a few minutes to get tacky (maybe 1-3) I'm not always very patient. Then I put them together hold them a few minutes...try not to wiggle them...clip them with a clothes pin if you can. That is if they will stay nice and flat and even...if the clothes pin makes it "tip" or come loose don't do it, you want it to stay as flat and have as much contact as possible. I like to let it sit at least 12 hours if possible. Do not try to keep seeing if it is dry...you will break the bond. That is not a good thing.

Yep, overnight! I did my flip flops last night before I went to bed and when I woke up this morning they were good to go!

oh good - thank you so much. i was really starting to panic! i have been banking on using e6000 instead of sewing them on which cuts my work time waaayyy down! i have 20 pair of flip flops due monday and i thought i was looking at the weekend from hell! thank you so much - i will let them sit overnight!
