Default Help... covered button bobby pins...

I am trying to make some covered button bobby pins and am not liking the result.

I have the pins and I have #45 buttons. A few ladies here suggested that size for the pins so I have a bunch of them from a group buy and now have the pins so am putting them together.

I think the buttons are too big. I feel like they just look awkward and they cover so much of the bobby pin. Is it just me? What size covered buttons do you ladies use when you attach them to a flat head bobby pin?

If anyone knows of a group buy for covered buttons let me know... I have a feeling I am going to need all new buttons.

THANK YOU!

Courtney

*Let me know if I should post pics and I will... I only have one set actually glued together so far but will try to take some quick pics...

I have always only used size 36 and they fit snap clips perfect.

Here are some pics...

Should I attach the pin closer to the edge of the button and not in the center? I did it in the center for stability, but maybe not?

The pins are 2in in length- maybe that is the problem? I have more pins coming soon- hopefully to me within the week- and maybe they will be longer. I didn't pay much attention to the pin length when I purchased. I figured they were all pretty much the same, but maybe not.

I just think maybe I need #36 buttons instead.... sigh....

THANK YOU all for any opinions!

Pat- I got your PM... will PM you back.

Courtney

I use size 45 for my bobby pins and they are fine. I know some pins are smaller than others, so ya maybe you should try a bigger pin?
