Default Flower clippies

When you buy the flowers, and go to make the clippies do you do anything to the edges of the flowers so they don't have the rugged look? I was just wondering, I wanted to make some, but some flowers just look cheap like they will start shedding.

Default Re: Flower clippies

I look for flowers that won't do that. Maybe you could paint the ..what's it called.. Fray check on the outer edges?
