I know how you feel. I starch my bottom bow within an inch of its life and bake it like normal so it keeps its shape. It takes a little bit of fussing with my layers to get them the way I want them. But, I totally understand your frustration. I attached a pic of my second stacked bow I did to show you that it can be done, not that mine is all that great, but it doesn't look like a total failure. I wish I could be of more help. Just keep at it and try not to pull your hair out in the process. LOL!

The problem I am having is when I put all my layers together it kinda smashes into like a V, so much that you can barely see my top bow!!! They look good from the side, but when you look on top, my top bow kinda looks like it has been sucked down into all the layers!!! Does anyone know what I am talking about???

I understand and have had a similar issue. Starching/baking helps because then the bottom bow doesn't fold in on your other layers. You could try a basic boutique bow on the bottom instead of a twisted bow, they lay a little flatter. Also, this tends to happen to me when I don't have my layers sized quite right, too big on the bottom and too small on top. Use some ribbon you don't love and just practice a bunch, everybody ends up with their own working technique.

Thanks for the tips. I have this happen sometimes too if the ribbon is too soft. Sometimes I just can't get them to twist as much as I want too. Annoying....

I use twisted boutiques for my base bow but i turn them upside down. i bake and starch them. when you turn them upside down the dont scrunch up. here are a couple pics. you cant tell from this view that the bottom bow is upside down but you can see how it doesnt scrunch the top up.hth

Your bow are PERFECT!!! I'm so jealous.

Do you have pics showing a side view or bottom view? Someone else told me to attach my bottom bow upside down, but I didn't see anyone else doing that so I thought it was wrong. I'm so going to try a stacked bow again! THANK YOU

i dont have a picture of one from the side right now. i'm gonna be making some more in a couple days and i will post pics. you still need to starch the base bow though cuz over time the loops can get a little smushed. will post more pics though when i get them done
