Default Single or double prong clip to go over elastics?

I have a customer that wants bows on alligator clips to use to clip over elastics. This is how she will primarily use them. Her daughter has really thick hair, so normally, I would suggest a double prong clip for her.

However, if she wants them do go over elastics, will a single prong work better? Which would you use, single or double prong clip? Would you still add no slip grip?

FWIW, I ususally use single prong clips, and often have customers put them over elastics with no problem. I quess I am second quessing, as this little girl has really thick hair and I wonder how the double pring will sit over the elastic.

Thank you so much,

Kimberly

For really thick hair, I always suggest a french clip. If you do use an alli though..i would definately put a no slip on it. I'm not sure how well it will stay over the elastic...depends on the thickness if it. Maybe suggest putting the bows on eleastic for her?

my daughter has really thin hair, but I do have to use elastic bands in her hair to keep a bow from falling out. I put her hair in a band and then slide the SINGLE prong just in front of the band. it does not sit really well on top of it. I would not personally put a non slip on it, it makes it harder to slide thru her hair when it is up in the band. Hope this makes sense.
