Question Putting iron-on appliques on Bows/onsies?

I don't have an embroidery machine and I want to personalize bows and onsies, but do you think its safe enough to sell stuff with just the iron on appliques? Anybody try this or have any idea if this will work? I just wouldn't want the letter/item coming off. Thanks!

I wouldn't trust it...I don't have an embroidery machine but I have a regular machine. I always free-hand stitch the appliques on...

How do you do that? I'm talking about just small letters...

I just stitch around the letters with an applique stitch (zig zag stitch with almost 0 stitch length)...These aren't the greatest pictures, but you get the idea

In order for those things to *really* stay put, a heat press needs to be used...it's used to apply t-shirt transfers, and uses heat and A LOT of pressure. I've had customers who brought me iron-on patches and their garment to apply them to, because they knew their home iron wouldn't compare. If you want to use the iron-ons, try looking up a t-shirt place to see if they will do it for you, and what they would charge.
