Default Cuttlebug and felt ?

Ok, so I got me a cuttlebug to cut my felt flowers with and it doesn't seem to be cutting very well. It is just the cheap craft felt because there isn't any wool felt in the small town where I live, but I thought I would try it out to see if it worked. Does the wool felt cut better than the cheapy felt???

i got the cuttlekids, the smaller cuttlebug for kids, and haven't had any problems cutting the felt squares.

from what i heard,

1) CB cuts felt like butter

2) The owner herself of Home told me that it's kinda like a "hit & miss"..

Personally, I hv no idea either. Tax return kicks in, I'm getting my Sizzix Original . I dare not *experiment* with other machine with it being expensive... =)

Are you using the right cutting plates? Make sure that when you put everything thru that it's really tight. You might also try a different die. The one you have may not be sharp enough.

I've never had a problem with mine. I've even cut thin metal with it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I would think it is the right die and that it would be sharp enough because I just bought it, but who knows. Maybe I'll have to get some more dies and try them out. I am thinking that it could be the cheaper felt also. Thanks again!

The cheap craft felt is the problem...I have no trouble with wool blend felt. I don't even bother with the craft felt...it doesn't do a clean cut.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I will invest in wool felt right now! Thanks for your help. I had a feeling that was the problem.
