Default Do you think this will work?

Okay ladies I need some input. I just got an idea this morning and want to see what u all think.

I am trying to create products that are all interchangeable and advertise as create your own look. I L-O-V-E the skinny plastic 3/8" headbands w/ fabric flowers, bows, etc. and want to make them interchangeable too (this might not be a new idea, IDK)

Can I...
Wrap the headband w/ 3/8" GG riboon and then on the side take 7/8" or 1" GG ribbon and add a loop like we doe on the interchangeable nylon and FOE. That way people can clip on a faux flower, fabric flower or bow.

Any advice is greatly appreciate before I go out and buy these headbands to give it a go.

Sounds like the woven headbands, only you're going to do a solid color. I've got an example in my etsy-with bow or korker for school color sets~is that what you mean? http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php...ng_id=33158284
If so the woven headbands are a best seller for me locally-I do a headband and interchangeable bow. Good luck!

Wow! Beautiful headband!!! It is woven, right? Ha ha, I knew that this revelation to me would not be a revelation to anyone else

I wanted to make just a regular ribbon wrapped headband (I was going to wrap a 3/8 headband w/ 3/8 ribbon - Just wraping around and around? I guess instead of a woven like yours. How can I make it interchangeable?
-Add a seperate loop at the side like interch. foe
or
Do I just wrap it w/ a 7/8 GG ribbon and leave a side section unglued to make it interchangeable?

Thank you SO much for posting help!!!

If you only glue the ribbon along the bottom, you should be able to slide an alligator clip into the ribbon along the top the same way you would with a woven headband.

Make sense?

Perfect! So, if I only add hot glue to the underside of the headband when I wrap, all of the top would be "interchangeable", right?

What width ribbon do you think I should do, 3/8 or larger?

Thank you!!!

One more Q. Do you think that a 3/8inch headband will be thick enough to support faux flowers (small to medium) and bows or do you think I need to use a large width?

Thanks-I thought it was an awesome deal, but no takers-I did this as a special when I first opened my etsy-maybe it's not as great as I thought

I think 3/8 would support it-I use 1/2 inch headbands mostly (some are an inch) and they will hold BIG bows and flowers no problem. I would do like the other poster suggested and glue the underside for stability.
