Default what size for stacked bows

what size ribbon do you use for your top layer of a stacked bow?
is it 5/8 or 7/8?

im ordering ribbon and i am finding more printed ribbon in 7/8... and mostly solid colors in 5/8

also when ordering ribbon do you buy much of 1 1/2 inch ribbon or does that work out too big? what size do you mostly buy? 7/8?
my daughter is 8 months old(if that makes any difference to size)

I use 7/8 for my top bow. I mainly buy 1 1/2, 7/8, and 3/8. Every so often I will buy 5/8 if I find a cute print. I use a lot of all sizes of ribbon.

I use 7/8 as well.. I use all 1 1/2 ribbon for my big bows, also I use about 23 inches of it. I know I could never find the right length when I started so I thought I would help you out

I don't know where you are buying your ribbon but and both have lots of solids in 7/8". I use 7/8" for my top bow and 1 1/2 for my bottom bow. I guess wether or not it's to big de pends on how big of a bow you like on your baby. You could always do two layers of 7/8". It just depends on the look you want. I wouldn't buy to much 5/8" ribbon though. It's not a size commonly used for bows. Some people do use it for centers. Hope that helped
