You need ***I am not using the good elastic as I need to order more, but this wll do as an example***
skinny elastic (cut to desired length)
1/2" ribbon (3/8)
Flower
needle and tread

overlap the 2 ends of the elastic and begin sewing with tiny stitches. pics 1-3 pics 2 and 3 show both sides of elastic after sewing.

Sew the piece of ribbon tot he underside of the flower

Sew and Glue (e6000) to the elastic to secure and give a finished look.

I buy the elastic from a costume company, its used more as trim. I can not find my invoice int he costume file so ill have to dig a lttle more before I can get you guys the name.

I couldn't resist so I put this one together using the 1/4" no metal skinny headbands from Target! I think these are great because they already have a so slip grip on the backside AND they come in like 10 colors!

I havent been to Michaels for about a month and dont want to drag both kids there so I guess I will wait until hubby is home so I can hunt some down
