i have tried it many ways, sewing, fabri-tac, hot glue. then glue the circle of felt...

i dye my own elastic in some shades as well as have it in bulk in a couple colors.

i think i have altogether too much fun with it it can get addicting!

I just found out this thread and I am in love with all the headbands. I made some using the black headbands that Walmart sells but would love to dye my own to have more variety

Thanks to all of you for sharing your pics and methods of making these little headbands.

SO SO happy to find this site. I have been trying to figure out where to find the elastic that isn't braided. Is there someone on here that has found it in the 1/8 or even a little thicker would be fine too. Thanks for your help. You guys have all inspired me to make these for my daughters. So excited to try these!

I have really enjoyed reading this thread. I just got my skinny elastic in the mail today from the alst gb and have already sewn my headbands, now I am off to attach the cq75's I got and I think I will have two happy tweens in the morning. My 12 and 10 year olds love these headbands. I will post some pics when I am done! Thank you to all of the wonderful creative ideas! I love HG!
Warmly,

Karen

Here is a site I found that offers elastic by the yard in a variety of colors in 1/8 inch for .35/yd (.25/yd for black and white). I haven't ordered any yet, but when I do I will let you know how I like it http://poshnpretty.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=89.

Also regarding sizing...this is what I found:
Newborn - 13 1/4"
3-6 Months - 14 1/2"
6-12 Months - 16"
12 Months-Teen - 17 1/2"
Adult - 18"

This is a great thread. I love all the pics of the finished headbands. They look great! Any news on a gb for the elastic or flowers?

So if I use fabri-tac on the elastic, I just overlap a little and glue? That's it? I'm new to all of this and want to make sure it will hold well. TIA
