10,000 yards! Wow. can you imagine trying to measure and cut that out for everyone? You'd be standing there all day!

ok this thread has way too much to read so im not sure if anyone has said this yet but at walmart in the hair sec they have solid colored elastic headbands but you can just size them to your daughters head and glue it or sew it.

I finally got around to trying these. I didn't have any felt for the back so I crocheted a circle out of crochet thread for the back. I haven't gotten any gems for the centers yet maybe over the weekend.

So what do you think? Don't be too tough I'm only a beginner.

Thanks

Cute! Where did you fine your elastic online?

I bought my elastic at Jo Ann's. It is the 1/8 braided you can buy by the yard. It was 0.39 a yard.

The dollar general had some thick black ones and I am going to try using those. They are about 1/4 inch wide (flat satin looking elastic) and were 10 for $1.00. I would like to find more colored elastic ones. I did not notice if they had white, but if they did, they could be dyed. Not that I have time to dye headbands....lol

I just found this thread while searching how to make these! Gorgeous and thanks for all of the examples!

I am trying to figure out how to attach the tiny flower to the headband. Do I disassemble the flower? I can pop it off the bush, but there is a little green 'stem' still on it, which seems like it would get in the way. Should I try to pry that off? If the flower comes apart, do I just glue it back on in pieces?

Yes, take the flower apart and glue it back together without the stem.
