That's how I do mine. Use a piece of ribbon 4 1/4" long, and after you seal the ends and overlap them into a circle, it should be the perfect size.

I usually make a loop with my ribbon piece that I am going to make the "bow-part" out of . I glue it. Then I put a dab of glue on the inside and press the center down- you should be able to hold the bow at eye level and see if the loops on either side are even. Then I put a dab of glue in the center of the clip and press the center of the "bow" onto the clip.

Does that make sense? Help at all?

If it makes you feel better, I popped up the picture to look at it and my 3 yer old son said "oh, that's pretty".

I make mine the same way. Oh, and when I opened the pictures, my 2 year old very excitedly said, "that would be pretty in my hair!"

I really like the heart center. Is that a button? Where did you find it?

I do mine like this.

4 1/12 inch ribbon to line the clip
3 to 3 1/2 loop to on top and glur eds slighty overlaped
dab of glue in the center of the clip and place that piece on that
Then do what ever embellishments that you want. (ribbon over lap, charms crystals, ect.) I hope that this helps. I think they look good.
