This was actually similar to what I was going to respond with. I just don't have pictures. LOL I thought this idea up quite a while back. I love it cause it works for other stuff to but my idea was actually to sew the loops but attach velcro/ or snaps so you could use it for pony O's as well.

I have also taken a pool noodle cut it down and put 2 side but side and another piece the same size on top to give it height. I attached them to each other then covered them with black satin fabric and tied it at the ends. I slide the headbands down over it.

I've tried the covered oatmeal containers, but if you put several of the crocheted or stretchy headbands on then it becomes a pain to get them off again, especially the ones in the middle. Also, my baby girl is still young and has a fairly small head and I noticed that was stretching them out somewhat.

I like the coke bottle idea, but again, that's probably best for the plastic headbands that are open in the back and not for the stretchy ones.

For now I just keep all of her headbands in a plastic Rubbermaid shoebox. I keep hoping to find a cuter way to store them but haven't yet.
