Default my flower is flat :(

Can anyone help me with this? I bought some peonies yesterday and I took one apart and pulled the center out so I could glue it back together and it would be flat on the bottom to glue to a clip. I also put rhinestones in the center. Now the flower is floppy and laying too flat. It only had one plastic piece in between the petal layers to separate them (know what I mean?) and I kept it in there. Can you starch or bake a flower? Does this happen to anyone else? What should I do?

You could try gluing farther out from the center on the layers...I don't know how to describe it...instead of just gluing around the center hole, glue out to the edges (in a few spots) where the petals start to curl up...know what I mean? It will help hold all the layers towards the center more...

I have starched my flowers before and turned them over on a small glass bowl to reshape them and make them more stiff. I didn't bake just let them dry naturally or with a fan blowing lightly. I hope that makes sense.

I bought some flowers from Michael's and JA's all three had these almost translucent spacers between a few of the flower petal layers. I think the most spacers in 1 flower bloom was 3. I used those in pieceing my flower together in the order I took the flower apart and when I had everything back together it was full looking. I'm not sure if your flowers came with these spacers as well.

I apply hot glue and then press my thumb in the center of the petal and then cup my hand around the back of it while it dries, so it sort of forms a cuplike shape. It burns my fingers but you could wear a glove or something I guess. I got used to burning myself lol
I also keep the little plastic things in there.

I actually have a blister from burning my hand. I would have thought that I would eventually lose feeling in them, but I guess not yet.
