Default Help With Ribbon Shirts!

OK, so I created these really cute ribbon shirts/onesies. I just used grosgrain ribbon in cute prints, used Heat N Bond and attached them to the shirts. Washed it...ribbons fell off!!! I don't sew well so I'm not sure what else I can do.

Please Help.

did you prewash the onsie? You need to prewash and dry it using NO fabric softner. I always sew mine on too, but you can also use fabric paint along the edges so "seal" it. Also, I rip out the seam on the side to tuck the end of the ribbon into and then sew that back up. Good Luck!

I always pre-wash but it is quite possible that I missed one! LOL. I'm afraid the mom dried it in the dryer, but I'm willing to replace it nonetheless. I haven't had a problem with any of my other shirts so maybe I did miss this one in the pre-wash.

If there was fabric softner used in the prewash yhe heat and bond won't stick.
