Default Having trouble with jump rings coming of bottlecaps

Does anyone have any tricks to keeping these jump rings closed so the bottlecaps don't fall off? TIA!

I had the same problem at first. I discovered this and it has helped TREMENDOUSLY. I haven't had one fall off since I started doing this:
  • Open the ring up pretty far.
  • Pinch the sides until it has an oval rather than round shape.
  • Put it on your bottlecap.
  • Pinch the narrow top and bottom of the together to close.
HTH (and makes sense)!!

I've attached a pic for you. It kinda looks like a keychain. It stays on, and you don't have to worry about it getting pulled off.
Michaels and Hobby Lobby carry them

Jumprings no matter how "tightly" you close them always run the risk of coming apart. Use split rings (I use an 9 mm I think) - be sure to also do yourself a favor and get a pair of split ring pliers - it will save yourself a LOT of agony in putting them on.

Yes, definitely get some jump rings! The split rings will always come apart if you tug on the very hard. Split rings are much more secure!
