Default Need Help with korker bows

What is the best size to cut my korker ribbon? How many strips of korker ribbon will make a nice small full bow? and what is the best way to tie them off or sew? PLZ HELP!!

I cut mine about 2.5 inches each and use about 25-30 pieces for each korker. I sew mine to make sure that they are super secure. Hope this helps.

I do 2-2.5 & *highly* recommend sewing. It's actually easier to make them look right IMO & you will never have a kid come home from pre-school with a baggie full of korked pieces because they amused themselves during nap time by pulling apart their bow. I'm just saying....it might have happened to me back in the day!! LOL!

stack the pieces on a needle- the one I use is a little larger than a regular needle- without pushing them all the way down to the thread until you get them all on then push them all down, push the needle thru the top then back thru to the bottom, tie and glue to your clip. I also use a small piece of matching ribbon- about an inch or so on the very bottom that I glue to my clip. Are you totally confused now LOL?

I actually count my loops (if that makes sense) instead of measuring. I make each piece 6 loops long and then each korker has 30-35 pieces in it. I sew mine too and after it is sewn, I kinda scrunch it around to get it looking full. Here's a pic on how mine turn out.....Hope this helps.

They do still look round when you sew. I do the stacked on a longish needle thing too and I use dental floss as my "thread". Just make sure you have a bigger than normal knot or when you slide all the pieces down onto the thread they will "squirt" right off the end!!

I wrap my ribbon on 18" dowels, the after they are baked I cut each ribbon in 8 pieces. I use 6 dowels worth for each bow, so 48 korkers on the bow. I used to tie then realized sewing is much better, more time consuming but that bow is not coming apart!
