next question any hip girls make these hats for a reasonable price?
let me know!
i don't think you would have to use a sewing machine. unless you want the machine embroidery. i would love to help but i'm swamped trying to get ready for my open house. i'm sure some one here will be able to lend a hand to ya.

take a party hat and open it up. I made a template out of posterboard and cut it about a 1/4 bigger. i ironed fusible web to the back of the fabric, traced the shape of the template onto the paper part of the material & cut it out. Then ironed it onto the party hat, folded edges to the inside and ironed them down. Finish the inside with some seam tape or rick rack. hot glue the opening closed, hot glue the marabou around the edges & top.

Forgot to add, I know how expensive the ones are on etsy and I think it is ridiculous! I charge $10 for the ones like in the pic and $7 for ones with just a number on it. $5 for solids.

You can make this w/o a sewing machine. I used the wonder under between the poster board and the material and then hot glue to seal at the end with closepins and some e6000 in certain points. my kids have them 5+ years later and they are fine HTH

I sew mine also, but I embroider them on my machine too ...I made my own pattern, just like someone else mentioned... Really easy to do.. Hardest part was what you want to decorate it with...
