I tried using my scissors with the ridged edges but they wouldn't cut through the felt. Does anyone know? Thanks for any tips!

It almost looks like a decorative corner punch was used, but not sure if a punch would go through felt like that

I have been trying to figure out the same thing. I just recently got a Sizzix Big Shot machine. I wonder if it is the quality of the felt I'm using, I got mine at Michaels but I don't think it's quality stuff. I get ragged stringy edges sometimes. I have found that if I run the edges very very quickly across a flame from a lighter that it will help. Also, if you sandwich the felt between two pieces of scrap paper before cranking it through the machine the edges come out a little cleaner.

She might be using some scrapbooking scissors?

She is using a sizzix original flowers die http://www.sizzix.com/product/939 . At least I think this is the one! I have it and thought I recognised it. I think she just cuts the top layers smaller to get them too layer. Could be wrong, but it looks very similar.

You need to use good quality felt. That makes a big difference.

I am a little confused... so in order to use the dies I have to buy the actual sizzix machine first?
