and "bleeds" (i.e the swiss or polka dots)...

Plus, I just think it's the old way or who knows...maybe just a matter of preference..

I bake mine at 275 for 25 - 30 minutes (30 minutes if I feel like it..)

Here are some pics.

1-how tightly I wrap it
2-what it looks like when I first take it off of the dowels
3-what it looks like after I stretch it out (I am going to be selling these and want to make sure that it's form stays if a kid pulls on it so I was testing it)
4-a close up after I stretched it

To me it looks way to strechd out .. let me know if it is just me, or if it's not what might help me

TIA

hmm..odd... When you kork, did you pull & kork, pull & kork the ribbon? When it's korked tight, it should should look like your 2nd pic after baking.

When I take the ribbon out, I actually *slide* my dowel out and try not to mess with the stretching.

May I ask why the stretching? I don't do that.

Not sure what you mean by pull & kork??
As for the streching, I am going to sell these and I want repeat business, and if a kid pulls on it I want it to take it's shape back...I know kids will want to pull on them, and I don't want them to ruin the second they pull on it.

When you kork, your ribbon suppose to be tight with no tension and twist the dowel (korking) at the same time.

hmm..not sure that makes sense...lol...it's past midnight here (I think I need to head to bed)..I'm sure others can explain it much better..

If you're using the drill to kork, I think the same thing applies.

I put mine in at 275 for 25 min. I startch them after I bake them on a paper white paper towel. ( Helps keep the counters clean. LOL!) If your using saddle stitch to kroker with I startch them first before I bake them. If you using satin ribbon it will be limp and floppy even with a little startch. ( at least that is what happens to me.)

Good Luck and Happy Krokering!
