Default substitution for liquid starch update

So I've promised to let you know how it works with the home made spray starch. That's what I did: I made the solution, satutate the bow (it was super, super wet), and then microwave it. I did it 10 seconds at a time until the bow was almost dry.
Result: I don't think it works. When I tried to mess with the bow, it didn't bounce back.

I'm pretty disappointed. I'm not sure what else I should do. Do you think I can skip the spray starch and just bake the bow?

My favorite stiffener is stiffen stuff from Michaels~ If you get a sunday paper you can get a 40% off coupon and get it for about $3 bucks! You can spray as little or as much as you like. I love it.
I'm definately going to check out the home made ones to see if i can save some moolah!

I started out with Stiffen Stuff but it kept clogging up no matter how often I rinsed the sprayer so I stopped using it.
