I finally feel like I can make these with confidence and good enough to sell. I made about 20 of them before I felt this way!
Now I'm having fun with all the color combinations!

Like others, my first few took forever and now I can make them in about 15 minutes.

you'll get it soon enough! Have fun!

If you are willing to purchase instructions no bow no go has excellent instructions. Oh and keep practicing! Are you near DFW? I'm in Arlington.
a couple hours away.

with each weave, pull your ribbon so its flat against the headband, you can clip it to keep it in place as you move to the next weave.

you're getting there!! 1/2 the battle baby!!

I have none, except that once you get it done, take it apart and try again, and again and again.. till its easier and easier. I knwo you want a finished product but you coul dreally be wasting a lot of ribbon doing them over and over, so if you practice on the same one then your good. I say keep it tight, and focus on the actual ribbon not color, because sometimes you will only have 2 colors 4 strands. KWIM??? Good luck...

I would undo it to the part where it is getting loose and try to rebraid it. It just looks like the braid is twisting a little.

It gets a little tricky when you get to the ends. Basically what I do is whenever I get to the step where I have 2 ribbons on each side of the headband, I use this time to straighten everything up. I pull the ribbons tighter and also make sure to line my two ribbons on each side up one behind the other (hope that makes since). When you get to the end, once again, just make sure you have straightened up and tightened up. I don't ever use alligator clips to hold mine in place. As long as you take the time to tighten/straighten as you go along, I really don't see where the clips would be of benefit. HTH
