Default Problem with clips

So yesterday I got my order of snap clips in and I went to town lining them. I used hot glue on some and fabric tac on others. Just to see the difference. Some of the snaps came unglued no matter which glue I used. What am I doing wrong? The alligator clips are just fine. I'm partially lining the snap clips just like Michelle shows to do. I'm getting frustrated. Help!

I read somewhere to wipe the clips with rubbing alcohol first. This will give the clip a clean surface for the glue to adhere. I know with the hot glu you have to work quickly. Hope that helps, maybe someone else has better ideas.

Michelle, told us about a glue that adhears to both fabric and metal. It is called Magna Tac and is made by Beacon. You can do a search online to find it. But that is what she said works best for her with the snap clips.

hmmm, may have to try the magna tac out. I remember her saying something about it but then I also thought she said that hot glue works the best. (at least for the first 2 steps ) I don't have a problem with working fast on them. I always get it done before the glue dries. May have to take some rubbing alcohol to them too. The fabric tac seems to take forever to dry.

Did you use low temp glue gun? It should be high temp.

http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.j...&source=search This is the gun I've got. I think it's a high temp.

Wanted to add that I don't have a problem with the alligator clips. I've done tons of those without a problem.

Snap clip need higher temp glue than alligator clip since it's bent over and over again.

Try to apply a line of the hot glue after last step. Marked yellow in the picture.

It smells so bad, I think I would pass out before I got my clips lined!!!
I think it smells horrible too, it usually takes my breath away. I think Michelle said it causes cancer too.
