Default Getting started...any advice?

Hi everyone! I am just getting started on making bows and I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice. What kind of supplies should I get to begin and do I have to purchse templates? I found some free ones, but do you have to have them to make most bows? I am wanting to make them for my 4 month old daughter and hoping that I get good, I want to sell them. I am hoping to make bows, maybe woven headbands, and things like that. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome! Templates can be great, I have some myself, but you should definately try making some with the free instructions available first. There are alot of good free ideas available on here. You could also try youtube or one of these sites:

http://www.girlythingsbows.com/
http://www.hair-hardware.com/

There is alot of information out there for free, just be patient enough to search for it. And if you're not that patient, then templates with instuctions are a great thing!

Welcome! first i would have to say that the above free instructions are great, and i would def. try the home made templates before you shell out for the other ones. Im still learning and my advice would be dont get frustrated or discouraged! you will see some pretty awesome things on here!!
