Default New here...FOE headband questions

I made some FOE headbands, easy! adorable!

my questions are:
once they are sewn together, doesn't the little ridge that is created by the heat sealed ends annoy/irritate the child's head?

How do you attach flowers/appliques directly to the headband (if you are not making it interchangeable)? Do you sew or do you hot glue them on?

And make them interchangeable or not? I'm sure this varies....maybe I should make both

I have only made interchangeable ones, but could you hot glue a piece of ribbon over the heat sealed part to cover it? I haven't heard of heat sealing anything on them though. What do you heat seal?

I heat sealed the ends of the elastic as per the instructions posted by maeve on the instruction contest board

I place mine together and stitch so that the heat sealed edges point"up" when the child wears them. I put the ribbon around for interchangeable --it covers up the sewn part

I had a question on this too..so when you cover the stitched part with the interchangeable loop doesn't that rub also? I mean the loop is a heat sealed piece of ribbon glued together on the headband. Doesn't that rub on the baby's head? Am I looking too deep into this, lol!?

I always put the heat sealed part of the loop facing out. It faces where the clip would slide in so that rough edges arent scratching the head. Make Sense?

I bought some FOE from the GB and I can't wait to try them, everybody seems to like them.

Ahhh.ok! I get it now! If I was not going to make it interchangeable, would I just attach the flower to the sewed/heat sealed spot to cover it up?

I do mine a bit differently. I fuse my ends together with a lighter. Then I re-melt & press flat with the side of my lighter to cool nice & flat. Then I cover with a grosgrain loop. So easy, fast & strong. No sewing required.
