I've made quite a few as well. i actually hot glue my ends together and then use the same color foe and make the loop out of that. sometimes its hard to find ribbon that is the exact same shade as the foe. i also find that its a little softer than the ribbon against the childs head. HTH

I always put the sewn part on the front. If I am adding a flower directly to it, I make sure the flower/bow/whatever covers up the seam completely.

that's exactly what i do! glue the ends- just overlap a bit. then use the FOE itself to make the loop. guaranteed to match and it's so soft.

I have no idea what they have at Joann's... But I've been using 5/8 foldover elastic.

Ok ladies..... I put an foe headband on DD for pics today and it kept sliding towards the back of her head.... Was it too big or too small? She is 15 mths and I used 15 inches of foe. Thanks!!

That is exactly what I do. I just used my FOE for the first time and found that I didn't have matching grosgrain. Using the same FOE takes care of the matching problem and is way softer too!

i love this diea- just tried it, but trying to figure out the best way to amke it an interchangable using the same no sew method (preferably using the foe for the loop for that perfect match!) any thoughts?
