When I had DD, the nurses at the hospital stuck one of those bows on her head. They told me they used KY, but I could use the syrup. She was a newborn, so we weren't "out" much, but it was not a big deal - you really only use a tiny tiny amount. Here's a pic.

I know! She could have used a clip! =P

But yes, it holds quite well - I had to massage it a bit to get it out at her first bath.

Yep, holds! You couldn't put a hat on over it or anything, but my baby has been wearing it for the past 4 hours or so and it's still good. The only thing to watch out for is it could be a choking hazard if the little one gets ahold of it! I will have to sell it with that disclaimer.

LOVE the little paint pot idea!!

My little one *just* has enough hair to hold bows and I've always used a bit - small drop of Elmer's glue and it sticks just fine and it water soluable so a drop of water on the hair and the bow would slide right out.

WOW....I have never heard of anything like this....this is so new to me. So just a drop on the bow....ok so where was all this information when my now 3 year old Anisa was born. She was bald forever, barely enough for a small tiny clip even at 1 1/2 .....I could have done this for her... Well now I know for next time. Thanks for the information. So KY, syrup, elmers glue...crazy...
Hey I wonder who first tried this technique out? LOL

I LOVE all the ideas here!! I might have to make some of these and see how they go over here.

Quick question though...if you use KY, Kyro Syrup or Elmer's Glue on the bow...doesn't the bow get sticky or crusty (for lack of a better word LOL) after a bunch of uses? If so, how would they clean the bow without ruining it?
