For my pinwheels i have used the wider ribbon like the red one and still they come out just like the blue striped one. On the red one it looks like the tails are a bit on top of the loops but since i use the TNT, i cannot layer my ribbon so when i wrap around the template and sew it automatically comes out like the blue one regardless of the size in ribbon...

your striped one - why don't you try doing a smaller bow? i think the ribbon might be too long for the look you are going for.

Sorry, I'm having trouble with the ivory bow. What kind of bow is that? what is it called? i wrap all my bows differently and i dont mark my ribbon. Do you fold it like if you were to make a boutique bow? like the figure 8?

I wonder if its the way its wrapped on the template. it looks like the tails are a bit on top of the loops and when you wrap on the template, the tails are no where near on top of the loops.maybe i should try free hand on that one.

nope not like a figure 8. The loops really shouldnt be angled. Just slanted a little so that they seperate when you crease your center...
To leave no tails... just mark your ribbon into quarters... so it is in even sections. Line each quarter mark up in the center as you loop making sure that your ends land on the center mark as well. Clear as mud...Shame on you for not marking lol

lol...ok that makes sense, so the end of the ribbon should be right at the center where the black center not can cover it? I wish i can post videos on here. it would be so much easier for visual people like me.
