Default lollipop and candy cane help

I am wanting to do these clippies but need some tips on how to make the red and white korkers. I looked at the instructions on here and am just baffled. Do you do them seperate and then weave them together sort of or what? When I tried to do them on the same dowel, it just didn't work. Any help and tips at all would be great. TIA!!

I honestly haven't tried this, but I know so of the darker colors can bleed when baking so I would not suggest wrapping them together on the dowel. Hope someone else can help you with the rest. Sorry

Bake them on individual dowels for each color, and then combine the two after baking. You can just kind of slide them together once their done.
