Talking YIKES! My first covered wipe case

Need help, the hot glue bled through the edges, how do I keep it from doing that? What is your technique?

Use trim to cover the edges.

Hi...ok....so you have your fabric cut the size of the top the case. I always cut just a bit bigger than the case then lay it flat over the top of the batting on the wipes case and begin gluing the edges down mnaking sure there are no folds or seams....completly flat. Looking at it you will have extra around the top so trim off the excess fabric. Then I use gimp or trim that is thicker to go around the edges. I don't use ribbon for fear it will look bumby. When it's thicker trim the glue should not bleed through. I got this trim at Joanns and Hobby Lobby has a TON of trim! I go by sections gluing down as I go. I have attached a pic....hope it helps!

I always use gimp trim. It looks much more finished and professional. I also use several layers of batting- I like my fluffy! lol

Also slow and steady.....
Here are a few of mine...

I learn something new on here everyday. I thought you had to sew slip covers for these wipes cases. I didn't know you just glue it.

Do you use thin layers of batting, cover with fabric and glue and then glue the trim around the sides?

They look so nice I thought there was a lot more to it.
