Default a different pinwheel

i cannot make this kind of pinwheel for the life of me!

i like where the tails are positioned, but i can't get my pinwheels to look like that! does anyone know how to make this bow, or have instructions for sale, or a link to a free site, or any tips?
any help would be greatly appreciated

Hmmm that's how I made them when I used the instructions from girlythingsbows.com
I made them like that for the longest time. I couldn't get them to look like the other ones. LoL It was annoying me. But now I can do both.

I do mine like that.

7-8 solid pinwheel3.jpg

Just do the hair-hardware.com pinwheel using the template. Change 2 things, don't overlap your loops, butt the edges of the ribbon up to one another. Also, position the tails directly over the loop before you stitch.

You can see mine are only semi-overlapped. I didn't put my tails exactly on top of the loops; only halfway. That is how I like mine.

Can i see pictures of how you do the last step (position the tails directly over the loop before you stitch). Im a visual person and i cant seem to get this.

But mine do come out with one tail in front and the other behind, but I'm sure you can adjust it if you want them both in front.
