Question baking your ribbon/bows?

I have been posting quite a few questions today and I'm really sorry!
I saw in a another post about baking bows after they are already made... really?!?! What does this do? I have only been doing this for my korkers... I want in on the secrets...

It helps them keep their shape. I do it some, but not on all my bows.

So how long do you bake for? Does it make them stiff feeling?? Do you spray with starch too???

i spray them with starch then bake for 15 minutes at 250 (ovens vary) if i am not in a rush i will just starch and let them sit out overnight. i do all that before i assemble my bow.

I'm bringing this thread back up because I have another question.

Should I bake my bows right after I spray them with starch or do I let them dry first? Thanks!!!

I spray mine with starch then bake them. Or like pp if Im not rushed I just spray them and let stand overnight and not bake at all. It helps them hold their shape better and I think they just look better.

What kind of starch are you all using? And how wet do you get your bow with the starch?

I use Staflo. 1 cup starch, 1 cup water. And I completely soak them.
