Default Michelle and others--help me with the boutique fold

I am trying to get my bow to look like Michelle's boutique fold bows but when I go to crease the center I end up getting more of a twisted boutique!?! I hope the pics show up (ya'll have to ignore my "lovely" turquoise yoga pants). Please give me some insight as to what I might be doing wrong!! PLEASE HELP...ANYONE!!

Thanks!

I think your bow looks GREAT! The green yoga pants are a nice backdrop for the pink

LOL! Please don't think I go out in those things...I am a SAHM and usually stay in my "lounging" clothes unless I have to get out!! Thanks for the compliment on my bows...I just don't understand why they aren't turning out like Michelle's?!? I have tried over AND over and just can't get it??
Hopefully someone can help!!

I like the one on top! (Can't see the bottom one because it is, well, on the bottom!)

OK--it is always difficult for me to see the difference between the twisted and just the boutique--but maybe you just have to angle your ribbon more sharply--like a B and a backwards B--does that make sense?

Your bow is lovely.

I think you want the loops more stand up, right?

Please see attached. 2 things need to be concidered:

1) stand up loop need longer ribbon. try to give each loop 0.5-1" more.

2). as shown in the image, your 1st step is the top image. The angle is a sharp angle. Try to fold the ribbon with almost right angle. At least 60 degree (not only for 1st loop. All loops should be 60-90 degrees when you fold them.

Hope this helps.

Michelle

Thank you all! I was having the exact same problem! All my bows came out like the twisted style, and I wanted to make the other way too.
