Default Re: Remove adhesive from iron-on applique?

I have a bunch of cute appliques that have an iron on backing. When I ironed it onto fabric, I found that having to cut around the applique left a lot of rough edges. Then I ironed it onto sheer organza fabric (using a barrier so it wouldn't melt the organza). After cutting around the edges, I use a lighter to get rid of the rough edges and "seal" the organza so it won't fray or anything. It works perfectly! I used sheer white, but you could get different colored organza to match the applique. HTH!
