I sew mine with upholstery thread (it's strong).

About how much is the upholstery thread? I was using regular thread when I first started (before I found this site) and it would break all the time. I switched to using dental floss but would like to try to sew it again.

I use 26 gauge wire...I tried to do the sewing method, and my bows don't come out nearly as good.

I tried using floral wire at first but it just wasn't as easy or fast as needle and thread. Once you have a little practice you can do them in no time.
I didn't like the outcome of the wire as much.

Honestly, I don't remember - It's lasted a looooong time

Just check any fabric store. I used regular thread in the beginning, but was tired of it breaking all the time too.

I use COATS Heavy thread, it is like 1.80 at Hobby Lobby or Joann....other stores might have it too, Joann often has it 50% off

Omg, I just did the sewing method today for the first time and the quality of how my bows look are like a different person is making them!!!! I am just using regular thread for right now, but may try the upholstery thread in the future if I have problems with breakage. I am sooooooooo happy!

Thanks for the tips ladies!
