Question what material do you use for singed flowers?

i used some tulle, but i dont like how they are see-through.
can you use silk or fabric? how do you singe them? i dont think holding them over a candle would effect them the same way it does tulle. looking for tips & advice please! ty

There is a signed flower tut from Three Blessing Boutique... I'll try to find it and attach it here.

You can use organza or silk.. I'm not sure of the other materials.

I think any polyester material will work. Of course, not too thick one. Chiffon, satin, organza, suedette, peach skin, crepe, polyester taffeta, polyester shantung, almost everything. I won't suggest tulle, the edge won't curl enough. I won't suggest silk, either, as if it's 100% silk it'll burn, if it silk blend with a percentage of polyester, you may be able to singe it but the silk in it will burn and it will leave a dark mark around the edge.

Lynn is an expert!!! I have had luck with silk poly blend but I guess it depends on the look you're going for
