Default is this a snap clip???

hey, i need some help! my baby girl 1 month old has very fine hair and it is very short. i would like to make her some clips so people can stop staying what a cute little boy! even though she is wearing pink! PINK! anyways, i saw this:

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php...e_id=102618441

and my baby has more hair than this baby but i cannot make her a clip that will stay in her hair. maybe because my snap clip isnt fully lined with ribbon or should i but those grippies thingys(forgot what they are called) i am using a regular sized snap clip that is wrapped( like the one from girlythings with the instructions on how to wrap a snap clip) should i buy smaller snap clips. does someone even understand what i am saying?
sorry but i am kinda work on 4 hours of sleep right now.

someone please give me ideas!

That looks like a velvet lined snap clip. Velvet is good for non-slip. I recommend you get the 30mm snap clips for your dd. I made these when my dd had a lot less hair, and they hold amazingly well. If you use a ribbon other than velvet to line your snap clip, look into using a non-slip method - I use silicone. I don't care what anyone says about grosgrain-lined 30mm alone being sufficient for very fine or little hair - it could still come out of my dd's hair somewhat easily without a non-slip method. HTH

p.s. while very cute, 1/4" ribbon wrapped (along just the sides), would not stay in my dd's hair until she got more hair for it to hold on to.

Definitely agree with Krysia! You will want to use a no-slip grip of some sort, whether it's the silicone, Duck Hold-It tape, shelf liner, velvet....

yes if you use a 30mm snap clip and line it with even grosgrain it should have no problem with slipping

I have an 8mth old and use a lined itty bitty snap clip in her hair, and have for a while now. It' 3/4", not sure I think that's about 30mm. THe work great, but she pulls on them and they get loose on their own and I have to adjust it, but they don't just fall out and get lost. Everyone says how cute they are. I have some if you need them. ~Bonnie

Yes, it's in the paint section with all the other tapes. Duck has a TON of different tapes, so be sure to read the labels on each tape carefully so you don't miss it! It took me a few minutes of reading through each tape name to find the one I needed. I almost thought they didn't have it

HTH If you can't find it, you can pm me, I could pick some up for you if you need/want.
