My yorkie can get any hairbow I put in her hair out in a flash if it's not on a rubberband so for me that's all I use to make my doggie hairbows. If I make them for other people I usually put them on weensie french clips that I hook on top of a rubberband...

THe little clear orthodintic band work well too. Just double them in case of breakage. You can find groomers bands on ebay

I sell to 5 dog boutiques. Each of them require different things. Mainly, they want the small rubber bands. And they do it like this: They put the top notch up with rubber bands and then put the bow on with the additional bands.
Then I have several that want snap clips and french clips.
I prefer the french clip because I can reuse it often and with a puppy, that really matters!

I don't make dog bows, but I'm curious - how do you add no-slip to french clips?

Sorry to sound dense , but do you take the tension bar out, or do you apply it to the tension bar?

Thanks! I'm not making Doggie bows (at least not yet), but I have some tiny french clips that I've been thinking of using, but wondering if I should no-slip them somehow first.
