Default Anyone Make 1/8" Korkers??

I love the way the 1/8" korkers look so I bought a few rolls of ribbon in that size. I'm just wondering if I still use 1/4" dowels? From the pictures on this website it looks like I leave a space when rolling them as well. If anyone has any tips I'd really appreciate it.

I hope it's ok to post a link to the site, don't want to step on anyone's toes here. But these are the ones I'm referring to.

Thanks!

I use the 1/4 dowels and leave no space at all. I roll them just like I do the 3/8.

I use both the 1/4 in dowel and a smaller dowel, but I'm not sure of the size of the smaller one, it's about half the size of the 1/4 dowel. I don't leave any spaces when I wrap the ribbon. This isn't a very good picture but it was wrapped on the smaller dowel. I don't have a picture uploaded of any I did on the 1/4 dowel.

I use the smallest dowel there is- maybe 1/8?? Or wooden skewer sticks- they're kinda short but you get a ton of them for really cheap. No spaces at all- the tighter the better!

I also use the tiny dowels. These are a few I have made up. They sell really well for me. As for tips, if you can kork these are not really different imo.

Thanks! I don't actually measure with a ruler- I do 7 curls for each cut, 12 cuts

I make these also, but I love how they turn out on the 1/4" dowel. As a matter of fact we're doing a buy on Sassy Paci Boutique for YAMA ribbon, and we can see if Nicole will include the 1/8" ribbon again. I think it takes about 300 yards in each color to make the buy, but actually you don't want to buy anythnig smaller than a 100 yard roll because it takes so much of this ribbon for each dowel rod. Let me know if anyone is interested in getting any of this ribbon in 1/8" and I'll see what we can do. If you haven't tried YAMA ribbon, your missing out, it is the absolute best for korkers and all bows, and the most awesome colors out there.

I make these all the time and do nothing different then I normally do. I use 1/4 dowels and bake away.

I also use bamboo skewers but I have also been known to use wooden chopsticks you get at fast food Chinese take out joints.
