I am thinking the same thing as the other ladies, I have messed up on the clip a few times before (put the wrong type on) and I just held the hot glue gun to it for a few seconds to remelt the glue, sometimes I can salvage the clip and sometimes I can't, But I have NEVER lost a bow!

I guess if this isn't what you did then seeing a picture really could help!

We all make "Oh no %^()*%(^*" sometimes Since they are all already done like that and instead of trying to take them all off, could you just put some non slip grip on the top too? That way there is some on both sides and it still looks all lined on top??? Just an idea!

put heat on the clip such as a blow dryer and it will come loose if you used a hot glue gun to glue it.

I think it is fine. Your the bow maker and if you made that many before you noticed. Non bow makers won't know the difference.

You can bake the bows in a warm oven until the glue softens and then remove the clips.

I wouldn't try to reuse the clips, I would probably just line a new batch and attach them the way that you want.

A lot of ladies actually put their clips on so that the flat part of the clip in down just like you did so I don't think you need to take them off

I line mine upside down with the crease laying on the child head. I don't line my clips though.

It doesn't matter if the flat side or the other side is against the head, I do them both ways depending on what I"m putting on the clip. However, what would bother me is having the bottom prong (the one that slides through the hair) covered with ribbon. I prefer them either unlined or only partially lined with the lined part against the bow.

The ladies have given you some great tips about how to get the glue residue off. Becareful about putting it in the oven if you have glue anywhere else on the bow, it makes a huge mess (yes, I've learned from experience!! LOL!)

Another tip is you can use a hair dryer to soften the glue to pull the ribbon off the clip then if there is residue left, if you have a woodburning tool you can use that to heat it up enough to wipe off, just becareful not to touch with your skin!!!
