Default Best way to do no slip?

I have little foam rubber pieces to glue into the clip but I was wondering if there is a better way since these are kind of ugly. Any ideas?

What I have come across from reading you can use:

Velvet
Shelf Liner
Silicone
I used hot glue by accident by getting some on the clip and trying to wipe it off lol
I think I may have read velcro.

Am I missing any?

Can you see it on the clip? I want something that you can't really see

You can see it if you turn the clip over. My niece has barely there hair and has clips that I made her last year with it and it still holds.

Duck Hold-It carpet tape is the best and it works really, really well. You can get a sample from the Hip Girl store to try it out: http://www.hipgirlclips.com/store/in...oducts_id=5713. It has a self adhesive on one side and the grip is on the other. I wouldn't really call it a foam, actually I don't know what to call it. It's thin enough to allow your clip to close and it looks neat, clean, and professional.

Here is a video demo of how it works and looks: http://www.hipgirlclips.com/store/in...oducts_id=4878.

I got mine at Walmart for $8.97 for a huge roll that lasts a long time, for me anyway. I think you can get it at Home Depot and Lowes, as well.

Hope this helps!

I use shelf liner, if you cute a thin strip it doesn't show.

I have thought about duck hold it as it would save me lots of time with a self adhesive, and last time I was at walmart I actually stopped in the section, pulled it off the shelf and then decided against it. But for those who have used shelf liner and duck hold it, which do you prefer and why?

I've used both and prefer the duck hold it for several reasons - it holds better, it's self adhesive, and I think it looks better than the liner. It also seems to hold up better than the shelf liner does.
