some quick tips I've learned....
*Fabric down or your needle will shred it!
*Use scotch tape or blue painter tape to hold your fabric down, just tape down both sides, removes very easy and your fabric won't slip
*Use setting 6 on needle and the slower the setting the less fraying.

For letters would you have to fold over and sew, or could you use fray check on fabric. Man I wish I knew about this a month ago. I would've made my little girl a birthday shirt.

that helps big time! i made a couple appliques and using the wonder-under helped keep it still. then i tried cutting out flowers for fabric flower hair clips and the material wouldn't stick to the freezer paper. but i'm gonna try this method. thanks!!!
