Default singed flowers?

hi, i have a question.. (not sure if this was already asked)

for all you ladies that make singed flowers, do you use a tut or pattern? or do you just free hand it? i would love to know! i really want to start making these but have no clue as to what to use to make them, and how to make the petals. any help or tuts would be greatly appreciated! ty

That is where I started as a general technique but I free hand everything now

wanted to add that it is really sorta difficult to follow a pattern, I have tried and the organza or poly satin likes to walk as you cut.

Here's another one that looks good...her flowers look beautiful. She just used 6 to 10 circles of varying sizes, 'singed' the edges, sewed them together and used see beads as centers. Just gorgeous! Have fun

I like them freehanded. They seem more natural. I don't think you can go wrong either way, just play with it & see what you like!
