Default Bow holders

I'm going to try my hand at initial bow holders tonight. But I have a question, how do you attach the ribbon to the back? Do you use hot glue, a staple gun or something completely different? Also, I was thinking of using scrapbook papers instead of paint (i'm a better modge podger then painter) has anyone done this before, how did it turn out? Thanks!

Maybe I'm overly cautious, but I use hot glue and a staple gun. LOL Oh and I put a light coat of hot glue over the staples so they won't scratch anyone's walls. How did they turn out with the scrapbook paper and modge podge?

I've modge podged some letters for my daughters room and they turned out really cute!

I'll take some pics later tonight.
