Default What am I doing wrong

I just learned how to make woven headbands. I have made about 6 so far but this one is giving me trouble. The other ones did not do this. The outside diamonds on one side are smaller than the other sides outside diamonds. The farther I go on the headband the worse it gets!! Any help?

You have to twist your ribbon as you go. The weave itself is fine, it just needs to be twisted a little. When you are making them and you notice them getting off center just give it a twist until it goes back to center!

Are both of the ribbons the same width? Different companies 3/8" vary in width some. UB is much wider than some of my other suppliers. That could be causing the troubles.

I was having that problem too. I think it may have something to do with how the ribbon is glued on at the start too. I'm still trying to master these. I'm super anal and will keep unweaving and reweaving until it's right-argh!

I agree that it's just offcentered a bit, but twist it like PP said and it should fix it. The weave looks great!

also, the red striped ribbon is the kind that stretches a bit and will do that as you weave it

I thought it could be varying sizes but they were almost the same. I think the ribbon type of the stripe is what was getting me. I may just steer clear of stripes for a while.

I undid it and started over and it worked much better the second time..with what I think was the twisting you guys are talking about.

Thanks for all the tips!!
