Default ? about the bodice of a ballet tutu bow holder

I've tried a few times with the foam board and fabric and didn't really like it as much..

what other products do you use?

Do you use wood? if so, what type? and what thickness? and do you paint it?

I have made a bunch, I will be posting pics soon. The foam board worked for me, just make sure not to use satin material. The best material I found from trial and error is stretchy velvet or chenille. They turned out great! I have seen some made out of wood too, but I have not tried it yet, I am very happy with the foam board, i get it at the dollar store.

Sorry to hijack...how do you finish the sides when you cover with fabric? Is there a tut anywhere??

I loosely followed a tut on girly things to get a general idea what to do. I just cover my bodices by cutting out the shape of the bodice in material a bigger size than the actual foam bodice. Then I hot glue it to the back of the bodice. When I added everything, I cover the back with felt to cover up the unfinished look in the back. HTH
