Default Curly Ostrich

Anyone work with curly ostrich? I got some in today and wondered the best way to work with it. Does it work better behind bows and flower or alone on a clip on a Kufi hat or headband? I need so see some pics!!

So did you buy it on a rope? Do you prefer this way rather than ready made puffs on the clip? I really want to get some. I PM'd raggedyamy and got no response. Post a pic when you figure it out. Maybe it will shed some inspiration.

I did buy it on a rope. I think the best way to work with it is to make it into a circle and either do the "puff" thing on a clip then I can put it on Kufi hats or headbands. I have seen it behind flowers and bows... but I can't picture it in my head and I came up with nothing on Etsy.. Guess I'll just have to play with it this weekend...

I've never seen ccurly ostrich feather on a rope, so I a not sure if this is useful to you, but you may be you can use the idea. I curl the ostrich feather with the back of my scissors or sometimes with my hyair styler.

I've only bought it on the rope and it had been looped in a circle to make the puff....I'm guessing they just sewed the two ends of the rope together or maybe glued it. Sewing it seems like it would be neater with all those tiny feathers. Then I just attach the base of the little loop to a lined alligator clip.

Thanks ahaygood! Do you buy it on a rope and sew the ends? I haven't had time to play with mine yet, but I have a date with it tonight as I have to get a poof thing done for someone by Friday!

How your new job? I noticed you haven't been around much.
